Hola!

Hey everyone! Before I start blogging, please forgive me and let me be "that mom" for a second!

Can you click on this link below and vote for Miss P, like everyday :)
Its for $250! And boy could we use it!
It would be mighty swell of ya'll :)

Thanks! All done!

Ok! Anyho!

I haven't blogged much lately because there hasn't been much going on. Football is going OK and Miss P has been teething off and on. Making for a tired and cranky mama.

But there is something that is awesome. The Fall weather. That is the one thing that I love about this place. The trees are so gorgeous and colorful it is almost like someone went out and painted the leaves the most vibrant red, orange, and yellow colors you could imagine!

See what I mean? I didn't even have leave my house to see this! All I gotta do is look out my window and BAM its beautiful and colorful!!!

But there is something else that is awesome you ready?

Like a really awesome, You ready for it???

I

Love

My

Crockpot.

Ok, I feel sooo much better now!
But in all honesty I do!!! I have no idea where it has been my whole life and how I have never used it before until recently!!!

I spend so much time during the day trying to figure what to make next and browsing the Internet looking for the perfect recipe!!!

Right now as we speak I am making a skinny chicken and dumplings and this one is ready in 3 hours!!! OMG! Perfect for this 45 degree weather!!!

Here is the link to the recipe I am using in case you wanted to try it!!!

Thursday is Miss P's 9 month check up! (Yup she is 10 1/2 months old but this doctor is so worth the wait!) I will blog about her and all her cuteness then :)

Tootles!

I have a funny video today.

Miss P is something else.

Her Daddy says she is going to be just like her mama.

You can decide for yourself.

I think she will be a mix of us.

Hopefully only our good traits. Right.

This video is HILARIOUS...

But I am wondering if I should be concerned if she is going to be a tad dramatic?

I also would love to add that no cameras were hurt in the making of this video, but in reality I think she broke my camera. Oh Boy!

50 things every Daddy should do with their daughters!

I was super emotional as I read through this list, as I’m sure many grown daughters will be. Mommy's of daughters out there make your husbands read these!!

I came across this and needed to share...here is about the orignal blogger!
About Michael

"Michael Mitchell is an (almost) thirty-something dad who blogs daily tips and life lessons for dads of daughters at lifetoheryears.com. He spends his days practicing the arts of fatherhood and husbandry, while attempting to be a man of God and a professional raiser of philanthropic funds. Ronnie or Sue don't cry!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Photo Credits can be found at the bottom of Michael’s original post.

1. Love her mom. Treat her mother with respect, honor, and a big heaping spoonful of public displays of affection. When she grows up, the odds are good she’ll fall in love with and marry someone who treats her much like you treated her mother. Good or bad, that’s just the way it is. I’d prefer good.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Always be there. Quality time doesn’t happen without quantity time. Hang out together for no other reason than just to be in each other’s presence. Be genuinely interested in the things that interest her. She needs her dad to be involved in her life at every stage. Don’t just sit idly by while she add years to her… add life to her years.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Save the day. She’ll grow up looking for a hero. It might as well be you. She’ll need you to come through for her over and over again throughout her life. Rise to the occasion. Red cape and blue tights optional.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Savor every moment you have together. Today she’s crawling around the house in diapers, tomorrow you’re handing her the keys to the car, and before you know it, you’re walking her down the aisle. Some day soon, hanging out with her old man won’t be the bees knees anymore. Life happens pretty fast. You better cherish it while you can.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Pray for her. Regularly. Passionately. Continually.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Buy her a glove and teach her to throw a baseball. Make her proud to throw like a girl… a girl with a wicked slider.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7. She will fight with her mother. Choose sides wisely.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8. Go ahead. Buy her those pearls.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9. Of course you look silly playing peek-a-boo. You should play anyway.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10. Enjoy the wonder of bath time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11. There will come a day when she asks for a puppy. Don’t over think it. At least one time in her life, just say, “Yes.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12. It’s never too early to start teaching her about money. She will still probably suck you dry as a teenager… and on her wedding day.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13. Make pancakes in the shape of her age for breakfast on her birthday. In a pinch, donuts with pink sprinkles and a candle will suffice.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14. Buy her a pair of Chucks as soon as she starts walking. She won’t always want to wear matching shoes with her old man.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15. Dance with her. Start when she’s a little girl or even when she’s a baby. Don’t wait ‘til her wedding day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

16. Take her fishing. She will probably squirm more than the worm on your hook. That’s OK.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

17. Learn to say no. She may pitch a fit today, but someday you’ll both be glad you stuck to your guns.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

18. Tell her she’s beautiful. Say it over and over again. Someday an animated movie or “beauty” magazine will try to convince her otherwise.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

19. Teach her to change a flat. A tire without air need not be a major panic inducing event in her life. She’ll still call you crying the first time it happens.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

20. Take her camping. Immerse her in the great outdoors. Watch her eyes fill with wonder the first time she sees the beauty of wide open spaces. Leave the iPod at home.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

21. Let her hold the wheel. She will always remember when daddy let her drive.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

22. She’s as smart as any boy. Make sure she knows that.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

23. When she learns to give kisses, she will want to plant them all over your face. Encourage this practice.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

24. Knowing how to eat sunflower seeds correctly will not help her get into a good college. Teach her anyway.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

25. Letting her ride on your shoulders is pure magic. Do it now while you have a strong back and she’s still tiny.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

26. It is in her nature to make music. It’s up to you to introduce her to the joy of socks on a wooden floor.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

27. If there’s a splash park near your home, take her there often. She will be drawn to the water like a duck to a puddle.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

28. She will eagerly await your return home from work in the evenings. Don’t be late.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

29. If her mom enrolls her in swim lessons, make sure you get in the pool too. Don’t be intimidated if there are no other dads there. It’s their loss.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

30. Never miss her birthday. In ten years she won’t remember the present you gave her. She will remember if you weren’t there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

31. Teach her to roller skate. Watch her confidence soar.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

32. Let her roll around in the grass. It’s good for her soul. It’s not bad for yours either.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

33. Take her swimsuit shopping. Don’t be afraid to veto some of her choices, but resist the urge to buy her full-body beach pajamas.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

34. Somewhere between the time she turns three and her sixth birthday, the odds are good that she will ask you to marry her. Let her down gently.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

35. She’ll probably want to crawl in bed with you after a nightmare. This is a good thing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

36. Few things in life are more comforting to a crying little girl than her father’s hand. Never forget this.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

37. Introduce her to the swings at your local park. She’ll squeal for you to push her higher and faster. Her definition of “higher and faster” is probably not the same as yours. Keep that in mind.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

38. When she’s a bit older, your definition of higher and faster will be a lot closer to hers. When that day comes, go ahead… give it all you’ve got.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

39. Holding her upside down by the legs while she giggles and screams uncontrollably is great for your biceps. WARNING: She has no concept of muscle fatigue.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

40. She might ask you to buy her a pony on her birthday. Unless you live on a farm, do not buy her a pony on her birthday. It’s OK to rent one though.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

41. Take it easy on the presents for her birthday and Christmas. Instead, give her the gift of experiences you can share together.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

42. Let her know she can always come home. No matter what.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

43. Remember, just like a butterfly, she too will spread her wings and fly some day. Enjoy her caterpillar years.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

44. Write her a handwritten letter every year on her birthday. Give them to her when she goes off to college, becomes a mother herself, or when you think she needs them most.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

45. Learn to trust her. Gradually give her more freedom as she gets older. She will rise to the expectations you set for her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

46. When in doubt, trust your heart. She already does.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

47. When your teenage daughter is upset, learning when to engage and when to back off will add years to YOUR life. If you succeed in doing this, tell me how.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

48. Ice cream covers over a multitude of sins. Know her favorite flavor.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

49. This day is coming soon. There’s nothing you can do to be ready for it. The sooner you accept this fact, the easier it will be.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

50. Today she’s walking down the driveway to get on the school bus. Tomorrow she’s going off to college. Don’t blink.

Feeding the boys...

So last night we fed Mr. G's players all 8 of them.

We had 3 hundred pounder pizza

and

100 wings.
There are zero wings left.

And 3 pieces of pizza left.
I also made cookies. My friend / cousin in law or whatever u want to call her (either way I love her!) Stephanie found me some cute football cookie and brownies recipes. I made them the night before let me tell you they look NOTHING like the photo! But they were YUMMY!

The boys chowing down.

My football cookies. Don't laugh. I tried really hard.

Miss P, was something else. She cried, no wait, screamed the whole time the guys were there. Sweet.
I wasn't able to get a lot of photos because well Miss P for a lack of a better word a pain.
*Side note she is teething and has 3 more teeth about to break through, but boy is she something else.

Anyho,  hope you enjoyed. I have become quite the host lately and I think I am going to need to not be so shy and reserved when I do this, but I made a point to talk to each guy and get their name! One step in the right direction! Whew!!!

Night ya'll

old wives tales.

To start I want to clarify that I am not a superstitious person, I don't believe in wives tales and I do not believe in good luck charms or anything of that sort. I dunno why, but I have never been that way. Having said that I never ever diss anyone or judge those who do.

Ok to the main reason I am blogging this.

Today, I was exposed to a wives tale that takes the cake in tales.... never even knew people believed in stuff like this. Now, don't worry I am not going to start putting eggs under my bed to help Miss P's teething (huge wives tale here) or put a nickle around her neck (also for teething)

Anyho, today at the play group I go to at the YMCA, a fellow mommy was telling us other moms about a family tradition that tells you how many kids you are going to have and the sex of the kids in order they are born. ( Picture me here rolling my eyes and shaking my head) She was telling us she is 1 of 6 kids and it has predicted every one in her family's kids right and there has not been one mistake yet. (OK, so here I listen up a little mor but I am still like ya right ) To clarify she is 1 of 6 and each of her siblings have kids.

So a few of the moms tell her how they want to try it out and see for themselves. Me? I was like count me out.
So, they start trying. What you need is a gold or platinum ring solid, no diamonds or anything. Then you need a piece of string and you have to tie the ring to the end of it. Next you put the ring over your wrist and the rest you watch.

How it works is circles are girls and swinging back and forth are boys. The ring will always go in a circle for the mother first then show you the kids you already have. It stops to a full dead stop between each person and kid. I watched 5 woman do this. And each time I saw the mother and the kids they already had, and then some had more kids others the ring stopped dead in its tracks and did not budge after that. Your thinking crazy right?!

SO CRAZY!

So, guess who decides to give it a try?

Me!

So. The ring turns once for me and stops.

The ring then turns in another direction for Miss P and stops!

The ring then turns in ANOTHER directions and stops (another girl)!!

The ring then turns AGAIN in the other directions and stops (ANOTHER GIRL)!!!

Basically this ring told me I was going to have THREE GIRLS!

And this lady told me it has NEVER EVER been wrong to her or anyone on in her family!

Now, I told her next week I wanted to try this again and see if anything changes!

I do not expect anyone to believe this, but let me tell you come December if your in California come find me and we are going to do this!

This maybe the first type of superstitious, wives taleish thing I have ever might almost believe in. I am still a skeptic until I have tried a few more times but wow! Crazy huh?

I told Mr. G who knows my stance on silly stuff like that and I think he believed me but his response was. "It is wrong, because we will keep having kids till we have a boy."
Ha keep dreaming honey.

Wow 3 girls! We will see!!!

Tell me what you think people?!

Fair Round 2!

I finally got to go to the fair with Mr. G!
Last year we went I was pregnant and forgot my camera.
Last year I was really like really disappointed I couldn't ride rides and guess what this year I didn't get to either.
Why you ask? Because apparently the older you get the less you like to ride rides? Apprently I didn't get this memo cause the kid in me was screaming to get on the fastest ride there!

Anyho, here is a photo book of the night!

Baby Steps

I finally got Miss P taking some steps on video.

Its all very bittersweet. I would love and cuddle with my infant who is trying so very hard to be a toddler :(

Just so much so fast! within the last 3 months she has gotten 6 teeth, started to crawl and now starting to walk.

I just wish she would slow down :(

Oh well, the old saying around her in the country is, that she is trying to make way for her next brother or sister. I find it funny, but uumm we will see about that one. I am loving my little girl!

Here she is! As you can hear I am excited! hahah

Here is a video of Miss P!

She is growing and learning so much!

She actually took her first legit step on her own this weekend.

Walking is close behind!

Eeek!

It gives me anxiety to think about!

My sweet baby is determined not to be a baby!

Oh well, I hope you enjoy!

Football

This weekend Mr. G had a by week!
So I got to spend a few extra hours with him and that was really nice.
What else was nice was my father in invited us to the Clemson vs. Florida State game!
Which was AH-MA-ZING!

I cannot wait for the day for Mr. G to get a gig like that! The stands were covered in Orange and Purple and people cheered the WHOLE GAME!

Miss P. was AH-MA-ZING as well didn't fuss or cry the whole game and she even missed her nap! Love my little girl! Football is in her blood for life. Yup a lifer!

Here is the introduction of the football team to the fans. It is listed as one of the top 10 experiences in college football that people have to see live...and honestly I agree!!!

Day in the life of Miss P.

Here are some photos of Miss P.
In case you did not know.
She is the light of my life and forever will have a huge place in my heart.

I came across this quote/poem thingy and wanted to share it with ya'll hahhahah Ya I did just type that ya'll. Don't worry I am not turning on ya'll hahaha. (you)

"NO ONE ELSE will ever know
the strength of my LOVE
FOR YOU. After all, your
THE ONLY you who knows what
my HEART sounds like from the inside."

Sweet huh? It was too good not to share, when I do Payton's big girl room (when she transfer to a regular bed) I will put this on the wall for sure!

Game day ready! ( We didn't really wear this, it was far too cold)

She loves the dogs...here is giving them a "hug"

When she gets really excited she puts her chin over the side of the pnp and smiles big

Here is P giving me a hug. Daddy gets all the hugs and kisses so it was a big deal I got one.

Sweet kisses and Hugs!

What I made!

Pretty Proud of myself!

Now I don't consider myself the jack of all trades like the Mrs. Karolyn Fujimoto! But I mean, I did it again. I was a tad crafty and it looks pretty darn good! ( In my opinion)

The school here has *cough* been so generous with the gear they give the wife's and kids *cough*. I made Miss P a onesie for her to wear to games because *cough* I had so much stuff for her to wear! (Enter the most sarcastic voice you can think of)

Anyho! She will be sporting this little thing this Saturday for the Wake Forest game!!

Cha cha check it out!

The 4T T-Shirt that was given to me for P to wear. Ha.

The finish product!

I was thinking of adding "Godinez" and the # 06 on the back to show support for "dada"

Here are some sweet photos of my little love bug who has been sleeping so great. Let me tell you I am like a whole new person!

Me and my baby

standing on her own

she fell asleep like this

went to check on her and found her asleep like this! Dont worry I moved her.

She loves looking at her baby photos. It is so sweet.

mamas little helper!

I hope everyone has a great Thursday!!! xoxo
