Weekly Update: 11 Weeks

WEEK: 11

MONTH: 3!

TRIMESTER: 1

GENDER: Still unknown!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

THE BABY SIZE:

WEIGHT GAIN: 6 lbs!

SYMPTOMS: None really at the moment

CURRENT MOOD: excited and nervous!

CURRENT CRAVING: None, but whatever I want to eat or am hungry I want it NOW!

CURRENT WORRY:
Moving and making sure I don't over do anything and finding a new doctor that I like and has enough experience in this small town we are moving too!

The Lake House...

Hey Ladies and Gents, I finally have a few exterior photos of our new condo! I will have the interior ones when the current lady moves out at the end of the month!

Bobby has been working these last two days and I am beginning to realize how much he is going to be gone during the season! He will be working 7am till about 9 or 10 pm everyday...It will make the transition a little hard for me because I won't have him constantly by my side. I consider him my home. So as long as he is with me, I am home... anyways, I will have to keep busy with projects around the house, decorating the baby room, and doing research for what to register for for when I register for a baby shower. Everything is so extremely overwhelming I have to remind myself, one day at a time.

So here we go photo time.

This is the entrance to our place...

There is the front of the condo. Our place is the downstairs one. The upstairs condo is occupied by a Senator who from what I hear is only home on weekends! Score!

This is the cute patio...and side walk way to the water!

This is the view of the lake standing on the patio!

This is another angle of the view from our patio!

I know its not much but this is what I have so far!

HOUSTON WE HAVE A HOME!

Ladies and gentlemen! We found a beautiful place today to call "home" in our stay here in NC! It is a 2 bedroom condo on a ... LAKE! It feels like a place you would stay to get away or to go on vacation! Remember those photos I posted yesterday of my parents property on a lake? That is the lake we are going to live one! It is crazy to think this is where we will live and this is where our first child will be born! Also it is only 2 miles away from my parents dock! Woot! OK. so don't get mad "ya'll" but I didn't take photos! I know I konw I am terrible, pregnancy brain ( my cop out!) Mr. G and I will go back tomorrow to get a few photos of the outside ( so that I can include you in this amazing new place with a zen like obeisance.)

Aside from finding a place to live we had a lovely lunch with one of the coaches and his wife and I can tell you right now her and I will get along wonderfully! She is spunky and fun and was telling me they have themed tailgating parties and how I get to travel for all the away games!! For example last year, there was a game on Halloween and all the wives dressed up as witches and not only that, different themed witches. I am excited to participate this year! I will be
pregger witch for sure! Which I honestly think will be fitting considering I will be about 7 month!

Aside from that the day was fairly uneventful! But for you visual people here are a few photos to enjoy :)

Mr. G got sick yesterday about 20 mins after dinner and ended up throwing up. Well when he woke up this morning his eye looked like this! Don't worry its just a broken blood vessel and as long as it doesn't spread or start to hurt he will be just fine! (BTW Mr. G did not approve of this photo being put up! Good thing this is my blog and not his hehe)

This is the Waffle house. If you have never been here (which I am assuming most of you haven't when you come to visit us at our new vacation villa we will drag you here to eat.) This place is terribly good. Terrible for the waste line, good for the taste buds! But please don't confuse this place with the place that made Mr. G sick. That dinner was the worst dinner of my life. This place is heaven!

Later in that night we went to see "Get him to the Greek" It was pretty darn funny! For those who enjoyed the Hangover I suggest you go see it. If you didn't enjoy that movie...DON'T GO! And yes that is Mr. G on his phone during the movie! He was keeping track of Jason pitching, which I allowed since we couldn't be there to watch with everyone else. Tear. We won't talk about how much we are upset we missed that trip.

OK Ya''ll, its 12:30 am here and I think the baby is telling me to get my butt to bed cause it wants to grow some more! Love you guys and miss you guys! xoxo

We are the Bulldogs the mighty might bulldogs...

Hey ya'll! Mr. G and I finally made it to NC at 11:30pm late last night.

So... early this morning we went over to the school and had an opportunity to met the head coach and most of the football staff! They are all really nice guys with great thick southern drawls. I am going to have to work really hard understand! I also was able to met one of the other coaches wife. I won't lie and say she didn't look surprised to see how young Mr. G and I are!!! Btw, let me just mention that Mr. G's new position at a D1 is a really big deal! Not to gloat cause he is my husband and all, but he is one the youngest football coaches in the NCAA!! To put that into perspective! Anyways, back to work after that we got our benefits package and talk to HR.

Here is a photo look at our first day!

This is what most houses look like in Boiling Springs...can you believe this guys front yard!!!! All I can think about is Forrest, Winston and Jack excited and running wild! Unfortunately this is not a place for little dogs like that!

This is what you see the drive to Boiling Springs! When we say we are in the country, sticks, boondocks, in the boohicky-hoo this is why!!!

This is the front entrance of the school.

The football offices. Nice huh!

This is the schools mascot and the first thing you see when you enter the football offices. I am not sure if this guy has a name, but I need to find out soon before I start nicknaming him "Buddy" or something silly and embarrassing.

This the cemetery that is across the street from Gardner Webb...weird and random huh!

This is my parents dock on Moss Lake! It is so pretty and the land behind me is just covered with gorgeous trees and a ridiculously long path to get there!

This another view of Moss lake, this is the lake that we hope to live !

So Mr. G and I were driving by some places we are going to look at tomorrow so we can judge the book by its cover. In the distance you see this white long cloud from the ground up! Mr. G asks " What do you think that is?" Silly me says "Aww just a little rain." Pish boy was I wrong! It turned out to be a funnel cloud accompanied by and lightening storm! It was scary and this photo in no way shape or form does this storm justice!

Alright so I had a heck of a time writing this post! The power went out in the middle of it as I accidentally posted it! Errors in all! Tomorrow we will be looking at houses which I will take photos of and post! We also have a dinner date with one of the coaches. He was super nice to call us up and invite us up to hang out with his family! Yay! Talk to you guys tomorrow!

Weekly Update: 10 Weeks and news

WEEK: 10

MONTH: 3!

TRIMESTER: 1

GENDER: Still unknown!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: Though he's barely the size of a kumquat — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature.

He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy.

If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.

In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again will double in size to nearly 3 inches.

THE BABY SIZE:

WEIGHT GAIN: 4.5lbs!

SYMPTOMS: Sore boobies and tiredness! Still super sensitive to smells but I feel like I have that in check now!

CURRENT MOOD: Beyond Tired STILL!

CURRENT CRAVING: Nothing really...

CURRENT WORRY:
Moving and making sure I don't over do anything!

Still shocking to say or type out. It happened yesterday. Crazy I know! I will probably keep up the weekly updates and try my hardest to keep y'all updated on everything else as well in regards to moving.

Bye for now!

Holiday Weekend!

This weekend was jammed packed with lots and lots of fun events! I was a complete lame-o... AGAIN! And forgot my camera! boo!

First, we started the weekend off at the Angel Game to support the opposing team! I know huh BOO! They didn't win but that is OK, Mr. G's cousin didn't pitch anyway so it didn't hurt that bad! eh! Mr. G's older brother definitely was enjoying the game a little too much. I am jelly that Mr. G's brother can fall asleep so easily, especially right now when I wish on all the stars in the sky for a full nights rest!

Sunday, that we attended my cousins 30Th birthday party! Who is also a fellow preggers and I might add always looks so dang cute and fashionable *sigh* I aspire to look at cute as her throughout my pregnancy and so far, I fail! All I can focus on is new high school acne and frizzy hair! But I am working on it! I just need to buy some clothes that fit and wash my face more. Right?! But that conversation is for another post!

Lastly, Monday, we went to a laid back BBQ which was really nice! We just hung out with some family, chatted, ate food, got some sun, and watched some soccer thanks to Cousin G! Btw Cousin G, I filled out my bracket for fantasy soccer. I don't want to do it, but I kinda have to! Cousin G, Cousin G, Cousin G! Ya, I'm in it to win it! Ok, I just needed to put that out there!

Welp, that was my weekend in a nutshell. Just writing it out made me tired. Whew. Now time for Glee Then bed!

Weekly Update: Week 9

WEEK: 9

MONTH: Starting Month 3!

TRIMESTER: 1

GENDER: Still unknown!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: Your new resident is nearly an inch long and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

THE BABY SIZE:

WEIGHT GAIN: Steady 3lbs so far whew!

SYMPTOMS: Sore boobies and tiredness! Still super sensitive to smells but I feel like I have that in check now!

CURRENT MOOD: Beyond Tired!

CURRENT CRAVING: Nothing really...

CURRENT WORRY:
Not having the energy to work out like I want. It bothers me. A lot. But hopefully when the tiredness passes I will be able to continue my workouts.
