Weekly Update: 26 weeks!

WEEK: 26

MONTH: 6

TRIMESTER: 2

GENDER: GIRL!!!!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: The network of nerves in your little head and your little ears are better developed and more sensitive than before. You may now be able to hear both mommy and daddy's voice when we talk to each other. Baby girl your inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of your lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when your born and takes that first gulp of air! And your continuing to put on baby fat yay my favorite! You now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel.

THE BABY SIZE:

SYMPTOMS: Pubic Bone pain...it is called Pubic Symphysis Diastasis. Basically it is my pubic bone separating in preparation for child birth...yummy and fun. It just feels like I got elbowed or hit in the pubic bone. The pain is short but sharp with a dull ache after. I go to the doctors next week and I will follow up with this matter then!

CURRENT MOOD: Excited! I am going to visit California and that will make the time go by so fast!

CURRENT CRAVING: Tootsie rolls!

CURRENT WORRY: My new obsession is figuring out how she is going to come out of me...can't I just wake up and her be in my arms pain free????

I have been shopping online for cute little things for this lil girl inside me and I have found SO many cute cute things! If I was rich I would buy everything single thing! Until then I will have to pick and chose what I REALLY REALLY want.

Belly Dancing!

So baby G is moving and grooving in my belly all the time now! And her kicks and wiggles are pretty easy for everyone to see if your patient enough!

Well I was patient enough and caught her at her most active moments...she moves throughout the whole video but about in the middle does she show off! Such a proud mama I am!

Weekly Update: 25 Weeks

WEEK: 25

MONTH: 6

TRIMESTER: 2

GENDER: GIRL!!!!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: Head to heels, baby you now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Baby G your weight is about a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but your now beginning to exchange your long, lean look for some baby fat. Yay my favorite!!! As you do little girl your wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and you'll start to look more and more like a newborn. Your also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture. I bet its going to be dark and black like me!

THE BABY SIZE:

WEIGHT GAIN: 21lbs! Yikes!

SYMPTOMS: If I laugh to hard to sneeze, its all bad news.

CURRENT MOOD: Excited!

CURRENT CRAVING: Still Popsicles and candy, no bueno!

CURRENT WORRY: None, but if she could come before the year is up so we don't have to pay a new deductible for insurance that would be fantastic!

BAMBI!

I saw Bambi today!

I was driving by a neighbors house and saw a little deer in their yard! At first I thought it was a statue because of how long it stood still and then it moved! I got it on camera too! Woot!! He is so freaking cute! And he makes the cutest little squeaks! Now I want one as a pet! I kid I kid, trust me I haven't turned all country on you guys yet!

Oh and the other night Mr. G and I saw 5 large deer in another persons yard at like 12:30 at night! 5 of them!!!! I was bummed that my photos didn't turn out for those guys but this is way better! This is in broad day light!

Btw, don't mind my flash dance music and my obnoxious baby talk to Bambi!

Weekly Update: 24 Weeks

WEEK: 24

MONTH: 6

TRIMESTER: 2

GENDER: GIRL!!!!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: Baby your growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts you at just over a pound! Woo hoo! Since your almost a foot long (picture and ear of corn), you cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but your body is filling out proportionally and you'll soon start to plump up. Lil girl your brain is also growing quickly now, and your taste buds are continuing to develop. Little one your lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help your air sacs inflate once you hit the outside world. Your skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

THE BABY SIZE:

WEIGHT GAIN: 19lbs and all in my butt, boo

SYMPTOMS: Tired.
CURRENT MOOD: Anxious, I know I have a way to go but with the birth of Baby S it has made me realize that in not too long I too will be holding my bundle of joy with less than stellar sleep and that is exciting and scary all in one!

CURRENT CRAVING: Still Popsicles!

CURRENT WORRY: None really

She is here!!!

No, not Baby G but her BFF Sabrina who we will call Baby S!

Mr. G and I's cousin / best friends just gave birth to an absolutely perfect baby S!

She is 8 lb.s 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long, with a beautiful head of hair!


I have never loved someone so much that I have yet to meet!! (well baby G too!) ! I am also beyond devastated that I have to wait another 3 weeks to hold her in person, but I guess photos will have to satisfy me till then.

Aside from that it makes my own impending birth to baby G that much more real and exciting! It also makes Mr. G a little nervous as to now we discuss what sports we think she will be good at and what sports we want to keep her away from *cough* gymnastics and for Mr. G any sport that requires little clothing hahaha (i.e. swimming, dance, volleyball) But don't worry people she will do any and every sport her little precious heart desires!



Anyhow, baby S is here and I cannot be more thrilled for the G family! Everyone is healthy and happy and probably a tad sleepy! And honestly you cannot ask OR love anything more!

Weekly Update: 23 Weeks!

Week: 23

MONTH: 5

TRIMESTER: 2

GENDER: GIRL!!!!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With your sense of movement baby girl is now well developed, you can feel me dance. And now that your more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound, little girl, Mommy can you squirm underneath under my clothes which makes me the happiest! Blood vessels in your lungs are developing to prepare you for breathing, and the sounds that you hear all the time baby girl that your increasingly keen ears are picking up are now preparing you for entry into this big bad world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as Forrest and Sherman barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze you much when you hear them when you come home for the first time! yay!

THE BABY SIZE:

Your baby weighs about as much as a large mango -- just over a pound. (Length: more than 11 inches.)

WEIGHT GAIN: 18lbs!

SYMPTOMS: Tired and uncomfortable.

CURRENT MOOD: I feel blessed, I realized at this moment in my life there is no better feeling than to feel my little bubble butt (aka the baby) move and show off her karate kicks for me!

CURRENT CRAVING: Popsicles! Numy Numy, I eat about 3 a day! Don't worry they are low calorie ones!
CURRENT WORRY: None right now, but enduring this 10 hour car drive to Ohio I am taking tomorrow!

BELLY PHOTO HERE: My tummy grew 1 whole inch in 3 weeks!!! I knew it grew!

Skyping Adventures

I love Skype! I love that I can have an instant conversation face to face with friends and family that I miss so much!

Well a few days ago, I was Skyping with my mother in law and brother in law and sometimes we try to get the dogs to watch each other on the screen. Well if you have ever been around the Godinez's dogs you know that if you can get one dog to howl, they all howl! I just had to capture this event on video and it is so funny!

Weekly update (a day late, AGAIN!) 22 Weeks

Week: 22

MONTH: 5

TRIMESTER: 2

GENDER: GIRL!!!!!

THIS WEEK THE BABY IS: Baby girl you are now 11 inches and almost 1 pound, your now starting to look like a miniature newborn. Your lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and your even developing tiny tooth buds beneath your precious gums. Lil girl your eyes have formed, but your irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If I could see inside my belly, I'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers your beautiful body and the deep wrinkles on your skin, which you will sport until you add padding of fat to fill them in. Inside your belly, your pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

THE BABY SIZE:

WEIGHT GAIN: 17 lbs!

SYMPTOMS: Tired and uncomfortable.

CURRENT MOOD: Bored, but I am excited for football season to start and it will make the season and weeks fly by!

CURRENT CRAVING: Sweets! I never been a chocolate person, but I want it now!

CURRENT WORRY: Stretch Marks!!! Need I say more!
